Hey, Everyone!
It’s been a while since you might have seen a post from a Shredder. Here’s the thing:
A few weeks ago, Tumblr blacked out and the queue feature was subsequently corrupted. So, all posts that had been queued for posting had disappeared. We still have over 200+ posts that we saved as drafts from both this cycle of the Shred, and the December cycle.

I feel so fantastic. I DID NOT STOP TODAY. (Well, except for one time when I thought she said “okay good” as in next move so I hurried to get up and was like, “SHIT!” haha)
I definitely sweat some more. But it made me feel great...

Putting aside the fact that I could only do 10 of the pushups on my toes and the rest had to do them on my knees, it was too easy of a workout tonight. Maybe it’s bc I didn’t go running this morning (thought I’d give my calves a rest since I ran 2 days in a row). Thought about taking a peek at Level 2 buuuuutt...

Another sore one today. I managed to push through my third day on level one, but most of the lower body moves left me following Anita rather than Natalie (yea, we’re all on a first name basis). My upper body has calmed down a bit but MAN are my legs still sore.

I jumped into L2 today with my heavy shampoo bottle weights and followed Natale.
WOW. That was sooo intense. I am like, really afraid for L3. I was panting so hard and I just had to stop for a water break. So much sweat… Some trembling… Losing balance… But I did it. I was able to do nearly all the reps and nearly all of those were great and good form. (Good,...

Just finished my second shred. It was a bit easier today despite swimming a km an hour before. Cardio killed me yesterday, today it was the strength part, cardio went fine. I don’t know if I do sth wrong at the abs exercises, I don’t feel anything there. However, I’m glad about these “breaks”, haha.
Hope you’re all doing fine and your muscles aren’t too...

Ouch. Jillian sure did kick my ass yesterday, leaving me with a sore body today. But I pushed through and completed day two. Was I in pain? Hell yes, but I’m glad I did it. Hopefully tomorrow will bring with it an easing of my aches and pains, but I’m not holding my breath.

A few things I learned:
-Use a hair tie next time -Go to the loo before starting -My stamina sucks -Water bottles are a good exchange for free weights, but 2.2 lbs may be too much for the start
My new goal is to build up my stamina!

As my original intro post so eloquently stated, my goals and expectations are pretty simple: sweat tons, cry a little, and jiggle much much less. Done! I’m making a conscious effort to make sure I don’t skip any days and 3 days in, so far so good. I did wake up feeling ridiculously sore this morning, but it was nothing that 30 seconds under some cold shower water didn’t fix.

So I wouldn’t say I succeeded or failed at this challenge, because it was a little of both. I only shredded 16 out of 30 days. I only lost a couple pounds, and they went right back on because of the holidays.
